About Alta Refrigeration

ALTA Refrigeration is a full service industrial refrigeration solutions provider of field erected systems. We specialize in the design and installation of refrigeration systems for food processing plants, multi-temperature distribution centers, food service centers and cold storage facilities; however, our desire to solve a customer’s needs may take us into a variety of other industrial settings.

We install refrigeration systems with our own forces. We are self performing with mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer control engineering, field mechanical installation, field pipe and vessel insulation, and start-up supervision. These forces include a controls department, insulation department, parts department and service department with a 24-hour service hot line.

ALTA is a financially strong, privately held business with a continuation plan in place. We also provide a full line of insurance coverage including professional liability, a $10,000,000 umbrella policy, and a $10,000,000 bond line of credit for single project.

Alta's Committment

ALTA was formed in 1975 as Industrial Refrigeration Services, Inc., and in February 1999, changed to ALTA Refrigeration, Inc. ALTA has been operating under the guidance of the same management team since 1985 and we are proud to provide our customers with our engineering experience in the refrigeration industry.

We have been designing and installing ammonia refrigeration systems for over 30 years and are recognized in the refrigeration industry as setting the standard for industrial refrigeration applications. We perform outside safety audits and are continuously involved with industry education as well as code and standards development.

ALTA is committed to providing State-of-the-Art refrigeration systems. Our job does not end upon project completion. We continue to provide support to our customers and meet their needs as requested. We are committed to provide qualified service technicians, planned maintenance inspection programs, on-site training and technical support as well as replacement parts and budgeting of future projects.
